Maria Michels, MA is a psychology doctoral student at Spalding University where she earned her Master’s degree. She is currently a fourth-year student in the Psy.D. program. Maria has experience treating various presenting concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Maria also has experience working with adults, adolescents, children, groups, and couples. Maria’s primary approach to therapy involves creating a warm, safe, and inclusive environment as a foundation for future work together.
In addition to clinical work, Maria conducts research on stress, coping skills, resilience, and critical thinking. In Maria’s free time, you can find her playing with her dog, playing soccer, doing crafts, or eating tacos.
