Sarah M. Abbott, PsyD

Sarah M. Abbott, PsyD, (she/her) completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Spalding University.  Her practicum experiences include working with high school students in the JCPS school system, guiding and supporting college students at Bellarmine University, and providing group and individual therapy to adults struggling with addiction at a substance abuse treatment facility. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Louisville VA Medical Center serving individuals that have experienced trauma, addiction, and other life stressors. She has special interest in working with both adults and young adults who would like support in life transitions, managing anxiety or depression, healing from trauma, navigating interpersonal and communication problems, or working toward a life worth living. Above all, Sarah aims to develop a collaborative relationship with clients to guide them in developing new insights and skills that enhance their lives using evidenced-based treatments.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and their lively border collie/Australian shepherd, Murphy. She can be found reading, enjoying live music, and finding the humor in life.
