Tricia Cooper graduated in 2013 with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Kentucky. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in school, community, and home settings and has experience working with adults with traumatic brain injuries.
Tricia’s areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and chronic illness. Other areas of interest include mindfulness-based techniques, trauma bodywork, attachment theory, and cultural roles and their affects on identity. Tricia uses humanistic, existential, and psychodynamic approaches in therapy and believes in fostering a safe space in the therapeutic relationship so that her clients can use their strengths to work towards authentic living. She takes a collaborative approach and encourages clients to communicate their needs within the therapy setting.
